PCSST Bids a Bitter-Sweet Farewell to Dr. Miceli

Throughout the years at Paterson Charter school for science and technology, we have had a number of administration and teachers come and go. It takes strength and courage to stay at a job for a certain amount of years and actually like what it is you're doing. Dr. Miceli spent seven years with PCSST figuring out ways to enhance the school day by day. He looked forward to coming to the school everyday with a smile on his face.

Dr. Miceli has a lot of experience with kids, being he was a biology major at Rutgers university. He wanted to go to school to be a medical doctor. He came up with the idea of being a doctor when his grandmother died from cancer. He wanted to help find a cure for cancer in honor of his grandmother. Dr.Miceli came to an conclusion that he was not cut out for finding a cure for cancer. So instead he went to get his doctorate in education.

Dr. Miceli had high hopes for PCSST and he believes the best thing that happened to the school since he became apart of the PCSST family was standard based grading. He thinks it's a easier way to grade and for students to do well on test and quizzes. He also is a big fan of blocked scheduling. He feels teachers and students can get a lot more done in a class period of an hour and a half verses a forty-five minute class period. He believes he's done a lot for this school which is true. Dr. Miceli has really held this school up to high standards.

During his retirement it is said that he isn't able to work for a couple of months. So with that time he is going to kick up his feet relax and play golf. He then wants to return to Rutgers to help any student teachers out also he wants to return to PCSST in the near future. Dr. Miceli will be truly missed.
